XXX Hot Jerky (Naga Jolokia) Review
Ok, I love Naga chillis. I eat them all the time, so this sample got attacked straight out of the parcel from Trailhead Fine Foods. The flavour was great, though oddly I found that the heat wasn't quite registering right on my spectrum - so I tried a sample out on a low tolerance buddy of mine and had to draw the conclusion that this wasn't as hot as it might have been for naga.
However, the strange thing was that I left a few in the bag and ate them a couple of days later and by then, the heat had developed into something else! They really were better for a breathing. So this gets two heat scores.
Heat (day 1): 6/10
Heat (day 3 or 4): 8/10
Heat Duration: mouth for about 5 to 10 mins then a long decay, no real heat developing in the stomache, or nasty surprises the next day [:)]
Flavour: 6 - only 6 because the heat is really what these ones are about, but still tastes great!
