Hokitika Wildfoods Festival, NZ

With around 10,000 people from all over the country descended on a tiny 3,400-population, Hokitika heaved with activity in 2011.
The West Coast of the South Island again hosted annual event, now in its 22nd year. The festival has become a traditional rite for students.
65 food stalls supplied palate-challenging fare - chocolate-dipped chillies through to stallion semen protein shots!
