Join the Southport Food Festival from 12-15 May, featuring the First Southport Chilli Day 2011 as Southport town centre becomes a hive of activity for the Southport Food and Drink Festival.
The Town Hall Gardens will be transformed to the Festival Plaza, home of the Food Village, Spring Beer Festival Bar and Live Cookery Theatre. Over the weekend the entire Festival Plaza will have a family friendly theme with festival kids menus and plenty of activities for the entire family.
Wander over to the Bandstand Gardens, home of the first ever Southport Chilli Festival, Chocolate Festival and English Wine Fair. Or stroll along Lord Street and shop in the Artisan Market.
Further along Lord Street, Monument Square will host the Street Food Fair, an entire area dedicated to the nations latest love of globally inspired food on the street.
Chapel Street will be transformed in to a Local Producers Market, showcasing some of the very best local and regional local produce. Whilst you are there, look out for Love Food Hate Waste who will be encouraging people to join the pledge and giving out tips and information on saving your household up to £50 each month.
Other festival highlights include; Whisky Festival at the Scarisbrick Hotel, Festival Offers and Events, Gala Dinner and Awards at the Royal Clifton.
