Chilli Children Trust Chilli Festival with a Difference

On Saturday 17th September at St. Paul's Church Centre, Novi Lane, Leek between 4-6pm there will be a "Chilli Festival with a Difference". The aim is to raise funds and support for a community based project for disabled children in SW Uganda. The project Team carry out regular surveys in remote areas to identify disabled children and provide them with access to surgery, rehabilitation, medical clinics, and education. We call them Chilli Children because families whose children are registered with the project are taught to grow chilli which gives them a means to self-reliance.
Tickets are priced at £3, and are available from Sue Woods, St. Luke's Vicarage, Novi Lane, Leek 01538 386109. Chilli canapés and drinks come free with the price of the ticket. There will also be the launch of a chilli cookery book created by Vikkie Woods, a cake stall, cards, chilli plants, bags and tea towels etc. for sale, + a raffle, and some fundraising chilli bunting!
