The Chile Pepper Food Festival

This year the Chilie Pepper Food Festival is on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th, 2012. There are over 70 venders and all of them must have chili pepper or "hot" items to be a part of the festival.
The festival features hot pepper jellies, hot pepper fabric, popping jalapeno peppers, an assortment of dips to Hot pepper soft served ice cream! You can even catch a horse and buggy ride (that's free) to Meadow View Farm down the street.
The farm is owned by local Mennonites; you can go out into the pepper fields and veggie fields and pick your own products right off the vine! In the green houses you can pick up shoe-fly pie or some hot pepper plants or even hot pepper cheese!
On the Friday there is a salsa contest and people can enter their salsa before the festival on the site. Saturday the highlight of the festival is a Pepper Eating Contest! Rain or Shine come and enjoy music both days by the acoustic rode show and spend the day becoming a pepper head!
The festival, held at William Delong Park, is located at 233 Bowers Rd, Bowers, Pennsylvania, 19511, USA.
