The Great Wild Food and Chilli Fair

The Great Wild Food and Chilli Fair' is aimed at celebrating natures own larder and its abundance of offerings and edible treats.
Our event is about encouraging people to try new and exciting wild foods that are all around us as well as connecting them to those foragers, artisan food producers, chefs, cooks, restaurants, smallholders and traders who are helping to change the way we all look at our food and who want to teach and share with us what they know.
Three exciting arenas Wild, Hot & Raw
WILD
Foraging offers an attractive blend of accessibility and exclusivity which appeals to foodies and chefs alike. It’s accessible, in that these ingredients are available for free in the wild to anyone with the patience and knowledge to go out and find them.
HOT
So what you gonna get.. Well on Saturday 27th June 2015, up to 20 teams will compete from 11am- 3pm to become the Essex Chilli Cook-off Champion and qualify for the 2015 UK Final!! plus you will see .... up to 60 pitches of the nation's best known independent chilli traders selling everything and anything you can make or do with chillies - chutneys, sauces, pickles, cheese, chocolates, crisps, seeds, Dorset naga, burgers, jams, experts, oils, jalapeno, herbs, cooking advice, growing advice, habanero, sombreros condiments, beer, bhut jolokia, nuts, cide, explosive, fruity, demon red, crockery, chilli powder, world record competitions, birds eye,and a whole lot more!
RAW
Gourmet raw food workshops, Raw Food Demos including Juicing, Fermenting, Sprouting & Raw Chocolate, wheatgrass, microgreens and sprouts, herbs, natures cures and amazing raw buffets and much much more.
