Bring On the Heat!
After Heating up the north east food festival scene with its 1st event in 2012, the North East Chilli Festival returns in 2013 promising to be bigger, better and hotter than before.
The 2-day event will be held from the 6th to the 7th of July, 2013. The second chilli fest in the region will bring together some of the great UK chilli produce purveyors, including ChilliPepperPete, the Chilli Pepper Company, Mr Vikki's, Fire Foods, Wiltshire Chilli and the Dartmoor Chilli Farm. It was Dartmoor's Phil Palmer who made the claim that "if Carlsberg did chilli festivals it would be this one" about the 2012 festival.
The chilli-produce stalls are also complimented by favourite local producers creating chilli related "specials", so some unique chilli dishes and items will be available for the taking. This will be one of the most diverse food events in the North East this year!
If that's not enough, the street food area has been extended. You can buy an amazing selection of foods to eat while you check out our entertainment marquee and the famous Chilli Eating Completion.
The chilli festival is set in the stunning Seaton Delaval Hall grounds in Northumberland, which was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh - designer of Blenheim palace.
Taste some of the world's best spicey food, with a few alternatives for those of a non-chilli disposition. Explore the wonderful grounds at Seaton Delaval Hall and relax!
