The Great Dorset Chilli Festival is a great day out for chilli enthusiasts, food lovers and families. Held with the kind permission of the National Trust at Kingston Lacy, we’ve lined up a glorious August weekend of “chilli fiesta”, with stalls selling all things chilli, from pepper plants to cayenne condiments; seeds to ceramics ; plus cooking demonstrations; artisan food producers; music and dancing; spicy street food; local ice creams to cool the mouth; local beers to slate the thirst.
Highlights of the Festival will be the chilli sauce blind-tasting competition, with the public voting for their favourite; a chilli eating competition; cooking with chilli demonstrations and a talks on chilli culture and folklore and a talk on the development of superhot chillies. We already have lots of well-known and well-respected stallholders signed up for what is sure to be the Hottest day out in Dorset this summer.
