Schoc Chocolates are a New Zealand-based chocolatier who believe that chocolate is a savoury, rather than a sweet taste-experience. And that is evident in many of their chocolates, truffles and tablets.
The Lime Chilli Tablet is the perfect package: sour, zesty fruit, slow-developing, lingering chilli heat and smooth, silky chocolate. The bar is quite thin, maybe a little brittle before quickly melting in the mouth. This all provides a short rollercoaster-ride of the tastebuds.
