Norfolk Heatwave Chilli Sauces
Glyn and Caroline from Weybourne make some extremely hot West Indian recipe Pepper Sauces in their cottage kitchen in rural Norfolk. The Trinidad-themed "Norfolk Heatwave" has proved a great success in the local area and is now making it's mark nationally.
Glyn is a dual Trini/UK national, with a Trini father who raised him to eat the hottest home-made sauces and taught him to make the traditional family recipe sauce. After making the sauce for family and friends over the years, including for the Tobago locals, Caroline learned Trinidad and Tobago cooking - a cuisine reputed to be the hottest of all the Windies islands.
Returning to live in rural Norfolk in 2008, Glyn resumed making the hot sauce with genuine Scotch Bonnet peppers, finally realising a life long dream to make and bottle it for sale in summer 2010. Norfolk Heatwave is possibly the only authentic Trinidadian hot sauce made in the UK.
